Plants Can Grow Within Human Bodies

By Anupum Pant

Yes, plants can grow inside human bodies. Here’s what happened about 4 years back. And it’s just one of such many instances where plants have been found growing in human bodies.

A 75-year-old man from Massachusetts, Ron Sveden had been experiencing short breath for a couple of months. And then his condition started deteriorating. He started coughing incessantly one day. That was when he knew it was something serious. 911 was called and he was rushed to the hospital.

Doctors took the X-ray. They found that one of his lungs had collapsed and a tiny spot was seen on the X-ray. Sveden was now sure that he had cancer. He just waited for the doctors to speak.

The test for cancer turned out to be negative. Doctors instead found a pea plant growing from his lungs. A pea must have gone down the wrong hole some time, doctors theorized. Apparently the warm and moist conditions inside the lung had made it a perfect place for the pea plant to grow.

After a fairly simple surgery the 1.25 cm pea plant was removed from his lung and Sveden was sent back home.

  1. Beverly if your doctor said you have a parasite growing in you it’s a parasite not a plant. They would know if a fucking plant was growing inside you. Don’t be so dense lmao. And even it is a plant why does that relieve you? Lmao there’s still something growing inside you. They have ways and medications to get rid of parasites sometimes even surgery but unless your just sitting around not doing anything about it you will probably be fine.

  2. Approx.two years ago I had Gall bladder removed. Had a scar on belly for about a year that would not heal. Felt like small cist. Eventually I squeezed it forcefully and out popped a seed size of very small ball bearing. How could that have got there when only the surgeon was operating with keyhole surgery?

    1. How did you know it was a seed? Maybe it was a blackhead or refuse from dead skin left from the surgery? just curious

  3. I just had a nightmare that a branch popped out of my stomach. Googles it on a wild whim and here I am.
    …dammit

  4. this doesn’t seem like it’s very accident given that for a plant to be able to create energy to grow it has to go through photosynthesis. this is especially evident given it’s a pea? it’s green which means it has chlorophyll and therefore goes through the light stage. idk what’s going on here but reasonably sure my lungs don’t get direct sunlight lol
